He Who Remains is a complex character within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, first appearing in the Disney+ series Loki. He resides at the Citadel at the End of Time, existing outside the established timeline.
He reveals himself to be a variant of a 31st-century scientist named Nathaniel Richards. This scientist discovered the multiverse and, with his other variants, initially shared technology and knowledge. However, inevitably, conflict arose between them, escalating into a multiversal war.
